DabbleDb - Naked Objects for Web 2.0 December 5, 2005

Via Andrew, DabbleDB is the latest app to take Web 2.0 by storm and its in limited beta, natch. It looks like a web-enabled implementation of Naked Objects, implemented in yet another groovy funky web framework… this time its Seaside, a framework built upon Smalltalk.

Wired magazine and Technical Analysis indicators December 4, 2005

As both an avid reader of Wired magazine (my collection is complete back to its second year of publication, and even includes a few copies of the short-lived UK edition) and a keen investor I found Richard Giles investigation into using Wired as a technology market indicator quite interesting. Hmmm, maybe I should keep an eye on Wired getting smaller, and start short selling NASDAQ index CFDs to make a buck out of the next inevitable downturn.

Err, anyone want to buy a Wired magazine collection complete back to ‘94? If I have to move these things to another flat I think my back will break…

Mac mini media centre to be revealed at Macworld Expo? December 3, 2005

I’m with Rui on this one. A Mac mini media centre, whilst an awesome concept, will probably be hopelessly hamstrung outside of the USA. Any chance of built-in DVB-T support? I doubt it. But I wonder if the rumours of Apple’s new media experience will finally explain what is behind Vingle?
